Contemplative in essence, like gazing at the star-filled night sky, opening my heart and mind to the sensation of our otherworldly nature and beyond. I experience a profound sense of oneness and expansion. Through the juxtaposition of light and dark, representing the manifest {zahir} and hidden {al Ghaib}, along with the reflective quality of chrome ink, I create organic mandalas that express my subconscious. These drawings forge a connection between the natural world, the universe and oneself, serving as a mirror for the observer. What is observed in the drawings reflects the viewer’s subconscious through mine. And so, they serve as a bridge, connecting the artist and the observer. Furthermore, the gradual addition of three-dimensional materials indicate my interest in merging the second dimension with the third, blending the abstract subconscious unbound by space and time, with the tangible physical quality of the self bound by space and time. The inclusion of dried flowers, a material that will eventually lose its colour, symbolises our connection to the passage of time, serving as a reflection of mortality.
